Build Process

Our 6 steps design and build process is structured to take the hassle and stress out of you while you watch your dream home take shape.

 

Initial Meeting

It all starts here… You are thinking about building your dream home and looking for a reliable building partner – that’s us. We work flexible hours, so if you are busy during the day, we will meet you after hours or during weekends to discuss your project and discuss potential option that fits your budget. We understand that this is a big investment and not everything can be discussed and finalised in one sitting. The initial meeting will be followed by several other meetings until we come to a feasible plan that works for you.

We will also offer our assistance to secure finance for you by working with mortgage broker. Once you have pre-approval for finance, we can then look for a section in the areas you like, or you may already have a section in mind that you would like to pursue.

Concept Design

Now that we have a potential section, we will set up your meeting with our architect, to go through your ideas and put together a concept plan for your dream home. Our experienced architect will offer you valuable advice on the pros and cons of various build features to help you make informed decision. We allow unlimited revisions to the concept design until you are confident that it’s the design you are after.

Fixed Price Contract

Once we finalise the concept plan, we will work with you on specifications to suit your budget. At this stage we can still tweak the concept plan and our standard specifications to suit your budget and lifestyle.

Once you are happy with the design and specification, we will then prepare a fixed price contract for you based on the payments type selected – progress payments or turn-key. We will then sign a build contract and ask you to pay the contract deposit.

Consent Application

Now that you have paid the deposit, our architect will prepare detailed drawings and organise other supporting documentations. Once this is done, we will submit the drawings for Building consent. This will normally take 20 working days to process, with additional weeks if we need to address the RFI. Waiting for building consent does not mean we have down time; we will work with our kitchen designer and schedule delivery of building supplies. We will also work with you to finalise kitchen design, electrical plans and make final calls on bathroom, flooring and colours.

Build Phase

We have received the building consent for your dream home and our team of experienced professionals have rolled up their sleeves. The real excitement only begins now as you can see your dream home taking shape each week.

Our experienced project manager dedicated for your build will supervise the construction and the quality of the workmanship. You will receive regular updates of the build and you can even drive by or organise a detailed site visit with our project manager.

Handover

This is the most exciting time for you and us, as you have come a long way since initial meeting to realising your dream home finally.

We will hand over all the necessary documentations to you including Code of Compliance certificate, Builder's Guarantee certificate, and manufacturers’ warranties for all the appliances. We will hand you a set of keys and it’s finally a champagne time!!!
